Physics Genie

What is Physics Genie?

Join Physics Genie – a website where students worldwide come together to learn physics through interactive practice. It is well known that the best way to study for exams and classes is to solve problems, which Physics Genie provides by having over 400 gamified problems from various sources, complete with hints and solutions.

Testimonials

PhysicsGenie is the perfect resource for the early competitor in physics Olympiads. The responsive difficulty rating and topic selection systems make it the perfect complement to an introductory physics textbook.

-Medha Venkatapathy, USAPhO Competitor

PhysicsGenie is a really good tool for students interested in going deeper into the hole of competitive physics. It’s features, including things like the leaderboard and difficulty rating, make it approachable for all students.

F=ma

The F=ma is a 75 minute and 25 question multiple choice test covering all of mechanics from kinematics to forces, rotational motion, and fluids. Unlike normal AP Physics tests, the F=ma tests your physics problem solving skills, how you can apply the concepts you learned to difficult problems. Although calculus is not required, it is recommended for some problems.

USAPhO

The USAPhO is the contest after the F=ma. If you score a certain score or above on the F=ma, you can get promoted to take the USAPhO. It is a 3 hour, 6 question exam that is split into two parts. All of the questions are short answer with multiple parts, and it requires you to show your work. If you score in a certain percentage, you can go to physics camp and ultimately, IPhO (International Physics Olympiad).

Other Olympiads

Many other countries also have their own exams to see who gets selected to go to IPhO. For example, INPhO in India. Physics Genie hopes to help those from countries besides the United States in their own exams.
